End of School…

I don’t know who is more ready for the end of school…the kids or me…I have a bunch of things that are going on the next couple of weeks and …of course I didn’t think ahead well enough and scheduled myself for adult ID service on the last week of school.  Also, Riley was picked for the All Stars (yeah!) but their practice starts this week (BOO) and they practice 4-5 days a week – (oh yeah and I did say I am on Adult ID service too).  I’m not looking forward to that.

I decided to make the girls’ teachers a bag for the end of year gift.  I recently saw the noodlehead Poolside Tote – I loved the large size and I had bought a bunch of PUL fabric a few months back that I didn’t end up making into lunch bags so thought that would be a great lining fabric.

I let the girls pick out the outside fabric based on their teacher’s favorite colors.  Addison’s teacher’s favorite color is purple.  We had a lot of fun with that bag.  Amalia’s teacher’s favorite is black.  I found this great PUL pattern so we matched the inside colors to the accent.

I love the combination of colors and that the inside is waterproof.

I love the touch of green on the inside of the pocket on the front peeking out!

And I love how the accent fabric color matches the bicycles on the linking for the black one.  This is the first time I have used my new label stamp!  Isn’t it cute?

We have one more trip to buy a beach towel and sunscreen to go in the bags.  Now I need to find the time to make each of the girls one for themselves.
