My 9 year old has become totally obsessed with American Girl dolls and their accessories. As someone who rarely played with dolls, it has been so neat to see her and her sister playing with the dolls, imagining they are school teachers and other scenarios to walk the dolls through. Amalia has been watching Youtube videos of hair accessories and styles for the dolls and has become very good at doing different styles to their hair.
I took her and 2 friends and Addie to the American Girl store in Tyson’s Corner on Sunday. What a great time we all had. We had about an hour to explore the store and look at all the amazing things. Then we had lunch in the cafe and all of the girls got to pick out a small accessory.
I don’t know how long this will last, but it was a memory that I will have for a long time, just seeing her face and excitement.
Above pictures are of us sitting and waiting for lunch. all of the dolls get their own booster seats which attach to the table and get served small teacups and saucers as if they were having tea too!
These are the girls standing next to Isabelle the newest girl of the year!
Finally a picture of all of the girls standing in front of one of the displays. We capped the day off by watching a couple of the American Girl movies on the way up and back. It made the 2 hour drive each way go buy faster.
