Found this fabric in the clearance section at Hancock Fabrics.  I immediately thought of making a maxi skirt from it.  It was $2 a yard and I ended up buying 4 yards.  Two other people in line asked where I had gotten it so I think I got a good deal.  I love the look of the long maxi skirt that everyone is wearing these days.  It looks so comfortable and I thought it would be good for those weekends in the sun watching baseball this summer.

It is a jersey knit and I haven’t worked with it much.  The edges were curling up so much I had some trouble cutting it in a straight line – and well, luckily I had gotten 4 yards.  I will be able to make a similar skirt for each of the girls too I hope.

I am looking forward to wearing it tomorrow to a barbecue we are going to.
