So, today I am thankful for dedicated and selfless and  amazing staff who – after hearing that my funding for their positions might be at jeopardy said to me… “I’m so sorry that you have been having to deal with this”. 

I admit, sometimes I think that I am in this alone.  The weight of it overwhelms me.  I don’t know what I would do if the tables were turned – but it is hard to imagine that I would be feeling sympathy for the person giving me such bad news.   Of course, my inferiority exposed was hard but made me want to fight for them even more than before.   I love you guys and it truly has been my pleasure to work with you all these years.  I have learned so much from each and everyone of you – and continue to do so!  The good news is that I think that the funding issue will work out! – and maybe by the next two weeks all of us will have more peace.
