It’s been a while.  Work has been crazy and I have been trying to get everything done in time for Christmas.  I have been indoctrinating the kids in the 3 presents theory of Christmas (from Santa) and have done pretty well but told them that I would get them a present from me as well. 

A few weeks ago I got an email from Great Wolf Lodge where they had great deals on weekday nights and I ended up deciding to take the kids.  Last night was the night.  It also was the worst day of the week as far as things I needed to do and meetings I needed to be at.  Luckily my 1-4:30 meeting finished early so I headed to the daycare to pick them up.  I had packed the night before and put the suitcase into the car early in the morning. 

As we left the daycare, they were excited because I told them we were going to the North Pole.  Riley thought we were going to the mall to get pictures with Santa.  The girls were not sure what we were doing and Matthew was excited about the turbojets we had on the wheels to help us arrive at the North Pole in a timely manner. 

We made really great time and they didn’t get it until we drove into the driveway.  There were quite a few screams – and Matthew was a little disappointed that we weren’t actually going to the North Pole but we ended up having a great time!
