Taylor Swift and all things pre-teen..

And said, marry me juliet
You’ll never have to be alone
I love you and that’s all i really know
I talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress
It’s a love story baby just say yes

Can you say annoying?…I have been listening to this song non-stop since Friday night.  Matthew and Riley got new Nintendo DSi’s for Christmas.  One new addition to this iteration of the gaming machine is the ability to put music / sound on an SD card and play it on the machine.

…kind of like a very expensive MP3 player – that doesn’t have great sound but also plays games.

Wednesday night I borrowed the two Taylor Swift CD’s, the Hannah Montana CD, and the Disney Songs CD from Elena and Nina (that they got to go with their CD boomboxes) and downloaded them to my laptop.  I’ve used an MP3 player before and it was pretty easy to download the songs to it.  However, when I transferred them to the SD card and put it in the DSi…well…nothing happened.  Wrong.extension.or.something.

So, I got to read all about song extensions and what is compatible with what.  Well, don’t really consider myself educated, but I figured out that I needed to convert the songs from the CD’s to a different format and ultimately found a program on-line that cost $20 but allowed me to do it.

After 2 hours (and much cursing but we won’t discuss that!) I had two SD cards with 4 albums of music on them.

Well… Matthew ….

LOVES

Taylor Swift.  He jumped up from the couch when he came to this song and ran to me and told me he loved me and …

thank you mommy

It was cute at the time, but…

well, can you say…

sick.of.it.

I especially like when he has headphones on and he is singing at the top of his lungs because he can’t hear himself but he doesn’t know all of the words and makes them up as he goes.

This morning he has discovered that you can “alter” the voice of the singing and so I anticipate we will be hearing it in many styles over the next several days.
